The Whistler Arts Council is currently looking for Artists who whish to display their work in our secure display cases for winter 2013 and spring 2014. We are looking for pottery, ceramics, small sculpture and wood carving, fiber arts including leather work, glass work and fine jewelry. If you are interested in showing your work in the display cases please send 3-6 images of your work along with a short bio to .

General Open Call for Artists:

Are you looking for a venue to showcase your work in Whistler Village? The Scotia Creek Gallery is available to artists to exhibit their work. The Whistler Arts Council is accepting ideas and applications for group shows on an ongoing basis (group shows are preferred; however, artists may apply individually and the Whistler Arts Council may offer the opportunity for a solo applicant to be paired with a group show). WAC is accepting proposals, in every medium including painting, new media, large sculpture, fiber art, film etc. from students, emerging artists, professional artists and everyone in between.

Submit your ideas in a proposal (500 words or less) and your bio to . Along with your proposal please provide JPEG examples of 3-6 images of your previous or current work. Please allow 4-5 business days for a response. Applications are reviewed on an on-going basis and all applications will be filed for future openings in the gallery space.

* Kindly note we are unable to spontaneously view portfolios during business hours and meetings with artists are not conducted prior to portfolio review.

The Scotia Creek Gallery includes 2 secure glass display cases which is available for exhibition purposes and 2 plinths. These can hold small to large size items. Large scale sculptural work and installations will also be considered. The Gallery also has 1 flat screen television capable of playing hi-quality video work or professional photographic slideshows as well as a projector.
