RMOW Council Meeting

Council Meetings

Regular council meetings are posted annually, and agendas are made available prior to each meeting. The powers of the mayor and council are exercised through the adoption of resolutions or the enacting of bylaws at council meetings.

All regular council meetings are open to the public and no person is excluded, except in the case of improper conduct. Members of the public are welcome to attend the open meetings of council. More information can be found here.

The rules governing the conduct of the meeting are outlined in the Council Procedures Bylaw and Robert's Rules of Order.

Council will meet in the Franz Wilhelmsen Theatre at Maurice Young Millennium Place, 4335 Blackcomb Way, Whistler, British Columbia commencing at 5:30 p.m.

Check out the Calendar, Meeting Agendas, Packages, Minutes and Briefs for more details.

Committee of the Whole

Committee of the Whole (COW) meetings enhance council’s commitment to openness and transparency, and provide opportunities for groups or organizations to make presentations directly to council. These meetings provide opportunities for council discussion and help to inform council in their decision-making process. Council does not make decisions or enact policy at COW meetings.

Committee of the Whole meetings take place in the afternoons on regular council days and are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
